Is Blue Bloods new tonight on CBS? Within this article, we come with an update on that — and, of course, also more information all about where the CBS series is looking to go from here.

Let’s kick things off here by getting some of the rather-unfortunate news out of the way right now: There is no new installment on the air tonight. To go along with that, there’s no episode coming up next week, either. This is the standard end-of-year hiatus that you see with Blue Bloods time and time again, but it always stinks on these nights where you’ve got a new episode of Hawaii Five-0 and then Magnum PI without a new episode of this show to follow them up. It’s merely a matter of logistics, mostly in that Five-0 has a good few episodes more than Blue Bloods does per season.

Where things are a little bit more of a bummer at the moment are with this simple fact: While there are some more details out there already about the first Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum PI episodes in 2020 (think in terms of the crossover), there is no information for Blue Bloods at the moment other than the title: “Careful What You Wish For.” That certainly sounds ominous, no? It suggests that someone gets in over their head, and it also feels like one of those classic expressions that we’d hear come out of the mouth of one Frank Reagan. Wouldn’t he say something like that? It definitely feels like that anyway.

Anyhow, be prepared for more than likely a few different episodes airing in the months of January and February — with a lot of viewers staying inside to avoid the winter cold, this does feel like the perfect time for CBS to bring some great episodes to the table. Let’s just hope more details emerge over the next couple of weeks so we can hand those out.
