For those of you wanting more answers courtesy of Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” you are probably feeling a little bit disappointed at this very moment. Why? Instead of getting what you were probably looking for, you instead have more questions.
The biggest thing that is currently running through our mind at the moment is just who in the world this Professor Shane guy is, and why he is responsible for sending the vampire hunter Connor to Mystic Falls. This part of his life is kept secret from everyone else other than Connor at the moment, whereas Bonnie just thinks that he is some sort of good-looking expert on witchcraft. (Is anyone else getting some sort of Aria / Ezra vibe here, for all of the “Pretty Little Liars” fans out there?)
While Bonnie was busy swooning somewhat over the professor, Damon and Elena were busy embracing their inner vampire while out at a bloodbath otherwise known as a frat party. Unfortunately for Damon, Elena did not have nearly the good time in doing this as he was hoping for. First, she felt guilty about sucking strangers dry; then, she went completely overboard with it; then, she felt horrible about doing it at all, especially with Damon. This led to her basically running back into Stefan’s arms, and while she is still running away from her inner vamp at the moment, we really wonder just how long this is going to last.
The final major story this week really revolved around the sole title of the episode: “The Five.” Klaus knew that he was descended in some way from a line of vampire hunters that he has not seen in centuries … and at one point, they even had some sort of cure for vampirism. Of course, Klaus wants it so that he can save Elena, whereas Stefan certainly has a motivation of his own.
