The Blacklist season 7: Who needs spotlight episodes next?

At the moment, we’re in the midst of a small The Blacklist season 7 hiatus … but big stuff is coming up soon. There are two episodes in “Orion Relocation Services” and “Katarina Rostova” that could give us great answers as to Reddington, Ilya Koslov, and the aforementioned Katarina. We’re excited for that!

Yet, we are also intrigued by some of the supporting characters on the show and some of what their stories could also be. After all, why aren’t we getting more attention on them? It’s mostly because of the urgency elsewhere and the importance of the Katarina arc, but there are still a lot of episodes still to come. There’s enough at least to give some other people spotlights … and there are three of them we’re hoping for.

1. Donald Ressler – We know that this is one that is coming at some point, and you can go ahead and color us excited for it! There’s a lot of interesting stuff to come from seeing Diego Klattenhoff front and center, whether it being him reconciling his past with Reddington (who he now believes is Ilya) or him trying to find a life for himself in the present. As of late, the Task Force has been his life.

2. Dembe Zuma – Where is the Dembe love? We tend to get a really great episode for him a season and we have to imagine that this is something that is coming up for him soon. We know that he knows a lot about Reddington’s history and identity; we just have to hope for an opportunity to soon see some of it from his eyes. How does he feel about the Townsend Directive and what James Spader’s character is up to now?

3. Alina Park – We are aware already that there is a big episode coming next year that will focus in part of what happened in Anchorage — what we’re interested most in right now is learning more about how that connects to Reddington and the Task Force now. There’s a reason why she acted like she did around Frankie, and maybe there’s more of a connection to Reddington than even she or Red himself knows…
