Greenleaf season 4 (Part 1) Netflix release date revealed

Greenleaf

Excited for more Greenleaf? There are new episodes coming to OWN early next year, but you don’t have to wait that long at all to check out the latest batch of episodes over on Netflix.

On December 5 (this Thursday!) the first part of season 4 is going to arrive for your viewing pleasure. We can’t even begin to tell you how excited that makes us, given that this is the sort of drama that is perfect for binge-watching. We’re not recommending that this become your primary viewing method for the show — after all, watching it live on OWN is going to better increase the odds of a season 5 — but it does exist as a great way to catch up on the show if you’re behind, or to re-watch certain scenes if you want to get a sense of some of the big moments. Remember, as well, that there is a big cliffhanger at the end of season 4 episode 10 … we won’t say what it is if you haven’t seen it yet, but it will be the sort that leaves you asking a lot of questions for what is coming up.

Greenleaf, at least so far, has established itself as one of OWN’s most nuanced dramas. Not only do you have some great performances anchored by the always-awesome Keith David, but you’ve got a story that looks at some of the incracacies of the mega-church world to go along with the differing feelings that a large family can have about it. It’s a show that looks at dark edges, but also faith and looking for inspiration. Basically, it makes you feel all of the feelings, and this is the perfect time of year to dive into such a show. Christmas has a tendency to be an emotional time for a lot of people; there is often joy, but also thoughts of family and reminders of what you’ve lost. It puts it all in perspective.

Of course, we’re looking forward to bringing you a little more Greenleaf scoop the moment that we’ve got it.
