Shameless season 10 episode 4 spoilers: Debbie’s surprise reunion
Over the first few episodes of the season, one of the primary narratives surrounding the character was her working in order to ensure that she could live the high life with fine clothes. It was the perfect scheme for her to hide that she was living beyond her means … but like with most other things, it has started to fall apart Other than a new-ish pair of fancy shoes, we’re not sure that there is anything else that she’s gotten out of the situation at the moment.

So is there a new possibility on the horizon for her? Well, the return of an old friend could allow her to think a little bit differently. In a new sneak peek that you can see over at the link here, you can see Debbie get some rather shocking advice from said friend: Consider allowing Franny’s father to have some more time with her. Because of that, she may also be able to wrangle for more child support and have a little bit of a better life.
Beyond that, there was another suggestion that was offered to her — go and get pregnant a few more times, and then have child support from a number of different people. That seems to be a working strategy for her … but we don’t exactly think that this is the sort of advice that travels. It feels more like something that one person is doing to get by; Debbie does have other options, but no doubt she’s going to be threatened within this episode. Just think about things this way — her job is going to be in limbo because of some protects. It’s going to be hard for her to make some money in the midst of something that could last for months.
