‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Nina Dobrev on Gabby Douglas

On November 29, we are going to be seeing an Olympic-sized guest star on “The Vampire Diaries,” and with that adjective in mind it should not come as much of a surprise to anyone that the guest we are talking about here is none other than gymnast Gabby Douglas. She is an admitted big fan of the show, and with that this guest appearance comes as a sort of reward for all achievements in London this past summer.

As for just why she is going to be in Mystic Falls, that much is still a mystery, even if the latest photo to the left of this article (per TV Guide) shows her working alongside Candice Accola’s character of Caroline on something that is a bit more bright and colorful than we are used to seeing on the show.

Based on the following message from Nina Dobrev, it already feels as though Gabby has already found herself some new fans based solely on her demeanor and her presence around some of the other actors:

“Gabby is so sweet, and her smile is even brighter in person than on screen … I was so inspired to meet her. I turned into a fangirl!”

Gabby is hardly the only Olympian getting some substantial screen time this year, as already have seen Ryan Lochte on both “30 Rock” and “90210.” Meanwhile, Douglas’ teammate McKayla Mulroney is visiting another CW show soon in “Hart of Dixie” (hopefully with an “impressed” face), and swimmer Missy Franklin is currently filming her own guest spot on “Pretty Little Liars.”
