MacGyver season 4: When could the first promo arrive?

Earlier this fall, the glorious news was finally revealed that the fourth season of MacGyver would be premiering on February 7. Not only that, but that there will be 22 episodes in said new season! This was a nice double-dose of great news after months and months of waiting.

For the sake of this article, the question that we’re going to wonder is a simple one: When is the first promo for the new season going to arrive? When are we going to have a chance to see some more good scoop?

There’s a part of us that thinks it makes sense for CBS to reveal some good stuff sooner rather than later, but they may also feel like there’s no real reason to do that. Just think about it like this — this is a network that hasn’t even released info as of yet in regards to Criminal Minds, and that show is premiering in early January! We feel like they’ll ramp up their promotional efforts for it at some point in December.

When it comes to MacGyver, meanwhile, we wouldn’t be surprised if we were forced to wait until January to get something more substantial. It’d be fun to see some sort of full-length trailer featuring a lot of the different adventures that Mac and the Phoenix Foundation are on this year … though that’s probably not going to happen. It’s rare that CBS puts out a proper trailer like that. More than likely, we’ll see some sort of promo that hypes up the arrival of Henry Ian Cusick, plus also the presence of more action and signature MacGyver moments that we’ve come to know over the years.

Here’s your reminder now to tell your friends/family to check out MacGyver live when it premieres — we know that a lot of people have been worried about its future due to its later premiere date this season. While it may be a slight cause for concern, remember that it’s far from a death sentence. If viewers check it out, it will almost surely come back for a little bit more.
