The Flash season 6 episode 8 promo: Can Barry be saved?

The Flash

Next week on The Flash season 6 episode 8, the proper midseason finale is here — and it’s going to be insane.

We know that we’ve spent a lot of time as of late hyping up the big Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event, as has most of the viewing public. However, in doing so we may have missed something that was right under our nose this entire time. We’re in the middle of what may very well be the greatest arc on the show since at least season 2. Ramsey Rosso is an incredible villain played well by Sendhil Ramamurthy. Meanwhile, we’ve also got a showrunner in Eric Wallace who is killing it coming up with interesting ways in order to use all of the different characters at the moment.

Oh, and that’s without even getting into what happened to Barry at the end of the episode with his transformation. He’s now a part of Bloodwork’s army — we wouldn’t call this Negative Flash per se, but it is an interesting transformation for the character. We think that he tries his best in order to resist Ramsey; yet, at the same time, the Black Lightning and the blood have taken over.

For this midseason finale, the main push of the story is going to be seeing Iris, Frost, and Cisco helping to ensure that Barry makes it through this. We would imagine that he would revert back to his former self at some point during this episode; after all, if he doesn’t, it would make the crossover a little bit awkward. This marks an opportunity to see how heroism comes in many forms, and that a lot of the other characters are very much effective at what they do. They all may have different ways of taking on problems, but a number of them can still work effectively. Ramsey is no easy foe, but there has to be some sort of way to take him out.
