‘Arrow’ spoilers: Meet Firefly!

“Arrow” has already shown us both Deadshot and China White on some of their episodes this season, and they are already proving yet again that they have no problem cramming in some more classic characters just within the span of the show’s first year.

According to a brand-new report from Entertainment Weekly, Andrew Dunbar has been cast to play the role of Garfield Lynns on the show. Garfield is a firefighter who became injured on the job years ago, and thanks in part to never being able recover fully from his injuries, has now turned to a violent life of crime instead. At some point, we’re sure that he will find a way to disturb Oliver Queen, and then we’ll get the ever-so-delightful “you’re not good enough for this city” speech as he is able to take the guy down.

This appearance will hopefully provide even more excitement for a show that so far, has really proven to be a bright spot in the entire fall TV schedule. “Arrow” may not be the most dramatic hour-long series on TV at the moment, but compared to the meandering “Revolution,” the dreary “666 Park Avenue,” and the outright disappointment that is “Vegas” and “Beauty and the Beat,” it may very well be the most entertaining. We not only love that the show is introducing so many villains to us already, but they are finding a way to do so while also adapting them to a universe where superpowers do not exist.

What do you think not only about this casting, but of the character stopping by for a visit?
