Is American Horror Story new tonight on FX? Within this article, we’re going to do our part to not only answer that, but also look even more about to the future.
Let’s go ahead, though, and get the bad news out of the way: There’s no more story to tell when it comes to American Horror Story: 1984. Last night’s new episode was, in fact, the official end of the road for this show. That is a bummer, mostly due to what was a pretty strong story down the stretch. There are a lot of seasons of this franchise that tend to fall apart when you get a little bit closer to the end of them. This was a little bit more of the exception rather than the rule.

So what is next for American Horror Story as a franchise? We do know, for starters, that there is another season coming up in the new year, most likely — this was confirmed quite some time ago! Yet, there is no word yet on what the subject matter will be, or if this could be the final batch of episodes on FX. Show co-creator Ryan Murphy has already noted that he would like to get a lot of longtime cast members back in order to commemorate the franchise to date — if this is the end, he likely wants it to go out with a bang. (Personally, we think that the ball is going to be in Murphy’s court as to whether or not we get to see more episodes.)
We imagine that there will be a little bit more news on the future of American Horror Story when we get around to the spring. We have a hard time envisioning that the folks over at FX are going to rush things along when it comes to announcements.
