‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Louis C.K., Bill Hader survive Hurricane Sandy

Even though there have been all sorts of cancellations and delays for TV shows across the board this week thanks in part to Hurricane Sandy, there is still some good news for fans of “Saturday Night Live”: this weekend’s show is very much still a go! Now, the real challenge is trying to find a way to up the ante after a fantastic show hosted by Bruno Mars just over a week ago.

Ultimately, the good news here is that Lorne Michaels really made the perfect choice in picking someone with a very different energy and sense of humor that the “Locked Out of Heaven” singer: comedian Louis C.K., who has a background with the show already as a writer, but this is his first time ever hosting. He’s clearly a funny guy with a great show in “Louie,” and the characters that he plays will likely be much more based on writing and comedy than the vocal theatrics that Mars used.

So for his first promo for this weekend’s show, Louis and the always awesome Bill Hader teamed up for a promo that really pokes some fun at the tough situation that New York City is in right now thanks to the hurricane, and we are sure it will be referenced a few times during this opening monologue (which better not contain any singing this time around). This is the first of several shows for the month, though this may be the one that we are the most excited about given the comedian’s talent, and just all of the different tricks that he has come to use as an entertainer over the years.

What do you think about this promo?
