NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 9 promo: Eric’s rescue mission
The video below is one of the latest looks we’ve got at “Kill Beale: Vol. 1,” an installment stuffed full of danger and suspense — and one airing in just a handful of days! There’s a lot to appreciate about this based on some of what we know already, namely that this is going to be an opportunity for Barrett Foa to shine after many weeks away from the show. He’s been off working on a theater production — concurrently, Eric Beale has been off working on a top-secret clandestine mission for Hetty.

This promo, in addition to confirming Foa’s return to the series, also makes it clear that we’re going to be seeing Hetty back on the show, as well, for the first time in a while. She’s still a series regular, but the writers do use her sparingly these days through the first half of various seasons. Note that we’re not comparing season 11 to last season, where Linda Hunt was recovering from a car accident — instead, we’re comparing this to season 9, where Hetty was captured in Vietnam and we often went weeks without seeing her.
Will Eric be rescued and brought back to Los Angeles in one piece? We have to hope so. Also, we have to hope that there are some nice moments for Nell and Eric along the way. We know that we don’t always see things from Nell’s point of view, but it was probably rather hard for her to deal with a lot of the stress she’s been under in relation to Eric’s mission.
Here’s the other odd thing about this episode — we’re not sure that there is a “Kill Beale: Vol. 2” coming up in the immediate future. Maybe this title is for the movie reference and the movie reference alone.
