Chicago PD season 7 fall finale spoilers: Halstead’s story & chaos
There’s a lot of stuff that has to be attended to within this episode, but one of the things that we’re absolutely most intrigued about is seeing what’s going to happen next with Burgess. She’s pregnant! That’s the big news that came out fully tonight and, beyond that, it seems as though she is preparing to keep the baby. There’s a lot of story that could be coming up for Burgess and Ruzek, more than likely, on the other side of that decision.
Yet, we got a good feeling that there are going to be a lot of big surprises coming beyond that — mostly because Chicago PD is rarely going to be the sort of series that tends to deliver just one storyline. There’s going to be some personal stuff and some serious drama, and a lot of it could be tied in some ways to Jay Halstead. We know that he’s a good cop and he’s exceptional at trying to find ways to solve crimes. However, it’s going to be a somewhat different situation for him here as his personal life (once again) gets wrapped up in a case. One of the things we’ve seen, time and time again, is a tendency for him to not stay out of his own way.

Before we get to the end of the finale, we imagine that there could be some sort of cliffhanger — why would we have an episode like this otherwise? Even if it’s not one on par with the drama of last season, there could be an emotional cliffhanger!
