Crisis on Infinite Earths teaser: Brandon Routh’s Superman & more

Crisis On Infinite EarthsCome Sunday, December 8, you’re going to see arguably the biggest superhero event in television history: Crisis On Infinite EarthsYou are basically going to see six different DC Comics – CW series all at once, and in a story that will put the entire multiverse in jeopardy. What brings all of them together? Think in terms of the Anti-Monitor, a villain who is capable of destroying whole worlds and not caring about it mere seconds later.

In the video below, you can see what is the first official teaser, one that features a lot of familiar faces all across the board. You’ve got in here Batwoman, Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, the return of Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Black Lightning making his first appearance in the Arrowverse, and even Brandon Routh returning to the role of Superman that he once had back in Superman Returns. Some of these characters are just scratching the surface of who you are going to see in the crossover at large. Tom Welling, Erica Durance, and John Wesley Shipp are all going to be appearing within the crossover, and we still have a feeling that there are a few other surprises that could be tossed into the mix.

There will be three parts of Crisis on Infinite Earths that air in the month of December, and then after a hiatus, it will return to conclude the story in January. We think one of the reasons why Arrow benefits from having a season 8 is that this can be at least part of its endgame. We know that this crossover is the culmination of a world that began with Oliver Queen — and while we expect people to die, hopefully our main heroes will not be among them.

We’ll worry about death at some point down the road — for now, let’s just prepare ourselves for one of the most exciting batch of episodes we’ve had a chance to see. We don’t know how the stakes could be any higher.
