Shameless season 10 episode 2 spoilers: Frank’s got a new scheme

Want to know what’s coming on Shameless season 10 episode 2? Following tonight’s big premiere on Showtime, we’re going to have a chance to learn more about Ian and Mickey’s relationship. This wasn’t all that much of a priority for the premiere, but you’ll get to see a much larger focus on them over the next couple of episodes.

If there was one great way to describe the second episode, it’s this: A chance to accelerate some of the stories that we had in the premiere. That episode had the challenge of trying to find a way to reset the series and introduce what life without Fiona was going to look like. We think that it was mostly successful, largely because Shameless is the sort of series that has such a signature style and tone. It’s able to withstand big changes because the format is so strong.

Comedically, the best storyline is probably going to be Frank — and there’s no denying that the character is a part of the show’s overall charm. We’re not sure that there is anything in episode 2 that will be different from the past several seasons. Yet, there’s always something about a Frank get-rich-quick that is going to be entertaining.

As for Carl, we just hope that the guy finds a way to get a little bit of stability in his life. He seemed to find a way in order to get out of the mayhem courtesy of the military, but we know that few things in the Shameless world have a tendency to last.
