American Horror Story: 1984 finale spoilers: The rock concert massacre

American Horror Story: 1984

Entering the American Horror Story: 1984 finale airing on FX in one week’s time, you better be prepared for a bloodbath. Or, that’s at least what the show’s murderous trio seems to want.

It took a long time in order for us to fully get there, but on tonight’s new episode, everything started to be set in terms of the stage for the last episode. You’re going to see a rock concert like no other at the center of the action, one that is going to end up featuring Margaret, Richard, and Bruce doing everything that they can in order to take out the biggest names in rock music. What’s their endgame in the end with all of this? That’s rather simple — to create a place where rock never dies. Margaret is at least partially right in that people will pay for nostalgia forever … but we wonder how they would feel about ghosts. Sure, there are some people out there with a flair for the macabre, but we don’t think that this constitutes an enormous audience.

There’s a lot of stuff that this upcoming finale will have to take on. Take, for example, seeing if Mr. Jingles is going to continue to have a miserable existence. Or, if Brooke really is a complete killer now and nothing else. Also, will there be any further teases as to what a season 10 for the franchise is going to look like?

In general, though, the biggest surprise of this franchise still remains that Jingles is now somewhat the hero, even in spite of him being perceived as a villain for the bulk of the series.
