Supernatural star Jared Padalecki speaks out following arrest
In a post on Twitter, Jared said that he is “sad” to have missed many of his fans at a convention this weekend, a move that was made likely for him to take care of what he needs to take care of following the incident. As recently reported, there were no interruptions to Supernatural production because of Jared’s arrest, though Jensen did tell fans at the convention this weekend that the actor had a couple of days off.
As of right now, the process surrounding Jared’s arrest (for assault and public intoxication) is one that just needs to play out over time. That’s not something that will happen through a day or two; it could be many weeks before there is anything close to resolution at all.
Jared does at the moment have a number of different projects on his plate. In addition to being the start of Supernatural, he also is developing a new version of Walker, Texas Ranger that is simply entitled Walker. The CW is set to be the show’s home in the event that it launches, but for the time being, there is no guarantee that it will. It also remains to be seen whether or not the arrest will have any impact on that. Jared just so happens to be one of the network’s biggest stars, and it is probably his presence that allowed for Walker to even be picked up for development at the network in the first place.
New episodes of Supernatural is going to be airing Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. There was a repeat this past week, but that happened due to Halloween. You’ll have a chance to see good run of episodes for some time now moving forward.
