As we get closer and closer to the end of Chicago Fire season 8, one thing will become clear: Severide is looking at making some changes. That doesn’t mean bad things for him and Stella, but it may mean less of him at Firehouse 51.
For those worried that him potentially leaving the firehouse will mean that he will not be a part of the show anymore, don’t worry — moving into episode 8 entitled “Seeing Is Believing,” you’ll see a storyline where Severide is 1) in a new post and 2) still being featured. This means that the show is still committed to following his story, and we’d equate it in some way to when Brett left the Windy City at the start of the season.
Is it possible that Severide will stay in a new position in the Office of Fire Investigation? Sure, just as it also is that he will return to 51 much like Brett did. All possibilities are on the table, but rest assured that much of this will be explored when this episode arrives on the air.
Now, let’s go ahead and get to sharing some of the goods. Feast your eyes on the Chicago Fire season 8 episode 8 synopsis now:
11/13/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Severide begins his assignment at the Office of Fire Investigation and gets off on the wrong foot when, despite his orders, he reopens an old case. When the cause of an apartment fire hits close to home, Herrmann is on a mission to get to the bottom of it. Kidd finds herself burning the candle at both ends. TV-14 V
If you were to make a case for Severide not lasting in this position, the synopsis makes it for us — it feels like he’ll be feeling the heat of his job pretty soon! It’s good to be a rebel sometimes, but if you do violate some rules, you also have to deal with the ramifications of them.
As for what else you can expect to see within this episode, we have a feeling that Herrmann’s story is going to be a good one — David Eigenberg always tends to hit the more emotional storylines out of the park.
