The Good Doctor season 3 episode 7 spoilers: Shaun builds a bond

Through the bulk of The Good Doctor, one of the things that we’ve seen Shaun struggle with the most is him relating to his patients. As brilliant of a doctor as he may be, there are other components that go into being a successful doctor. If people do not feel comfortable with you, they’re not going to want you to treat them. That’s something that we’ve seen already this season, and we could end up seeing in the months to come.

Yet, one of the interesting central components of The Good Doctor season 3 episode 7 (airing on Monday, November 11) is going to be getting a chance to see how Shaun does end up relating to a particular patient in a surprising way. This is someone who suffers from an immune deficiency, which makes it hard for them to have hope sometimes in difficult times.

Meanwhile, Dr. Claire Browne, Dr. Morgan Reznick and Dr. Marcus Andrews treat a 12-year-old patient who is about to become blind, and tension builds between Dr. Neil Melendez and Dr. Audrey Lim on a new episode of “The Good Doctor,” MONDAY, NOV. 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. (TV-14, D) Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.

The tension between Dr. Lim and Dr. Melendez is something that we have all seen coming a mile away. We do think that there’s going to be hope for the two of them, but there are also so many near-constant obstacles that they’re going to have to overcome. Think along the lines here of a different working environment, one that can cause a lot of problems if the two have differing philosophies. Separating the two sides of the metaphorical coin can be a difficult thing to do.
