Is The Resident new tonight on Fox? The season 3 schedule ahead
After all, originally there were some plans for the show to come on tonight alongside its timeslot companion in Empire — we were going to have a normal night on Fox! As a matter of fact, it felt like after the first two game sof the World Series, the Washington Nationals were going to sweep it.
Then, times changed. The Houston Astros came roaring back and as a result of that, we’re now in a position where there is a World Series game tonight. With that, there is no new episode of The Resident on the air, which is also prompting a rather-hefty change of plans elsewhere.
So what do we know at the moment? “Choice Words,” the episode that was originally slated to air tonight, is now coming in seven days’ time. Meanwhile, a week after that you’ll now get ‘Nurses’ Day” on November 12. There could be an installment entitled “Woman Down” — one that could put a character in danger — on November 19, but Fox could end up adjusting that. Scheduling changes make things complicated long-term.
In the end, the most important thing about the future of The Resident is this — things are going to be complicated. Very complicated. We’re going to see big stories about many of the key characters, relationships tested, and of course stories that are relevant to the medical community. We just hope that everyone remembers to watch — hiatuses can often be very much frustrating, especially ones that come about last-minute like this one. (Then again, it’s nothing compared to what could happen to viewers of The Masked Singer tomorrow — they may find out, in less than 24 hours, that their show isn’t going to be on the air for another week. It’s all down to the baseball results tomorrow.)
If you haven’t seen the promo for “Choice Words” as of yet, rest assured that you can view that below!
