NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 episode 5 video: Meet Katherine Casillas
Well, the sneak peek below introduces the character and, shortly after the fact, we come bearing all sorts of questions. Take, for example, how she factors into everything else that Sam and Callen have going on. You can see her talking with the two of them, and she seems to be jovial enough. She’s aware of the painting at the center of the case this week — she recognizes that with it stolen, it creates problems for her. She is doing just about everything that she can to get some answers because of that.

What’s also interesting is that there’s a certain attitude that goes along with Casillas — she seems fun! It’s the sort of fun, though, that makes us wonder if she is intentionally getting close to the two guys because of some sort of ulterior motive. Is she working in secret as a mole for the terrorists — or, is it possible that she’s a possible love interest for someone else? Is she just overly enthusiastic?
We’ll be wondering about all of these different things about Katherine leading into this episode, especially since we know already that this character is going to be around for more than one episode. Is the NCIS team running back into her on accident … or because there is some sort of larger connection here between her and some thefts? As is often the case with this show, the answer will sort itself out over time … and we’re excited to see what that looks like.
