Blue Bloods season 10 episode 5 sneak peek: Jamie’s Espinoza crisis
Why is that? It’s all due to Espinoza, the man who handed over the lease on the place to him, supposedly with “no strings attached.” Yet, as Jamie makes it clear to Frank in the sneak peek below, he’s starting to “feel a string.” Much of it has to do with the way that Espinoza is trying to take advantage of a young female cop.
When we first heard some of the details about this episode, we wondered if this was going to be Jamie having to look into a relationship that felt similar to his own with Eddie. Now that we’re getting more of the details, however, it doesn’t feel altogether similar at all. Jamie and Eddie were colleagues who eventually became involved in a larger capacity. Espinoza, meanwhile, seems to be taking advantage of this young cop and using some of his authority over her. Maybe there is more to the picture here, but that’s not what Jamie’s gut is telling him. He feels more like there is something rather-shady going on here, and we tend to trust Jamie and his intuition. Frank doesn’t seem to object to anything that he is saying; rather than this being a conflict between the two, this is more Jamie visiting his father and mentor to make sure he’s looking at things properly.
In watching a sequence like this, we are reminded of some of the stuff last week where Erin told Jamie that he’s more like Frank than anyone else in the family — they view the world in a similar way. Maybe that’s a sign that someday, we’ll see Jamie take on the role of Commissioner? It’s something worth thinking about.
