The Resident season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Conrad’s dad returns!

It’s been a while since Marshall Winthrop had a role to play in The Resident, but apparently, his goodbye earlier this year was not a forever one. There are going to be chances to see him again, and that includes the upcoming sixth episode of the season entitled “Nurses’ Day.”

When you think about a title like this, you’d probably think that this would be a celebration of all of the hard-working nurses who are running around Chastain. Unfortunately, it’s going to become clear over time that this is not the case. Instead, this episode is going to be themed around seeing if someone is going to do their best to help these nurses, who find themselves exhausted and without help on a day that, in theory, is supposed to be about them. Can someone lend them a helping hand? Is that really too much to ask?

On National Nurses’ Day, Chastain’s nurses are severely understaffed and overworked, leaving them all feeling exhausted and underappreciated. Cain performs a dangerous surgery on a new patient he won in a game of poker. Meanwhile, Conrad discovers that his father has been administered the same drug that he fears played a role in Jessie’s death, The Raptor comes face-to-face with his birth mother for the first time and Irving attempts to take the next step in his relationship with Jessica in the all-new “Nurses’ Day” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Tuesday, Nov. 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. We’d love to say that we think we’re going to see a lot of happy moments coming in this episode for Marshall but, at this point we think that we know better then to expect that. This is going to be a harrowing experience for Conrad trying to get his father off of this drug, or to make sure it doesn’t impact him in some way. He almost lost him last season, and after seeing what Nic’s gone through, he doesn’t want to deal with a similar level of pain.
