What’s her biggest issue? It’s a legal one. She didn’t show up there presumably to murder her friend — she wasn’t wearing gloves, or any sort of outfit that would lead to no evidence getting out. She put herself in a position where all sorts of evidence, one way or another, could end up coming out. She’s going to have to contend with that, in addition to thinking up all sorts of responses in the event she gets heavily interrogated. In speaking on that subject further via TVLine, here is some of what Naturi Naughton had to say:
“In the next episode, you’ll start to see how Tasha has to figure out, OK, if this comes back to bite her, what’s her alibi? What is she going say to explain herself? Was it self-defense? All those things are going start kind of going through her mind. But right now, the only thing that she can think about is the fact that, “Oh my gosh, I’ve just killed my best friend. And I didn’t want to, nor did I intend to.”
This is going to be, no doubt, an emotional issue for Tasha … but she’s also going to need to push forward incredibly quickly on finding solutions. If she doesn’t, it could lead to arrest or, even worse, Tommy figuring it out. He may recognize already that some would’ve wanted LaKeisha did — he may not have wanted this to happen, and he also has to be considered lucky that he seems to have a pretty good alibi as he prepared to propose marriage to her.
