‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3 spoilers: Missy Franklin tapes appearance

Earlier this month, we first reported that Missy Franklin was joining the list of Olympians who are appearing on scripted TV shows, one that include Ryan Lochte on “30 Rock,” McKayla Mulroney on “Hart of Dixie,” and Gabby Douglas on “The Vampire Diaries.” So what’s the teen swimmer’s show of choice? It’s none other than “Pretty Little Liars,” where she is set to offer some sort of words of encouragement to Shay Mitchell’s character of Emily (who happens to be participating in the same sport, though on a much smaller level).

So how much is Franklin enjoying her gig? In a post on Twitter, she shared the photo to the left alongside Janel Parrish (Mona), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Shay Mitchell (Emily), and Lucy Hale (Aria) along with a caption that everyone is “so nice” and that she doesn’t want to leave. It’s not entirely clear if she actually shoots any scenes with some of the other actresses, but we’ll keep a close watch out following the show’s return to TV on Tuesday, January 8.

For those of you who really love scoop, this photo also may very well confirm what is really the worst-kept secret out there in Rosewood: that Parrish’s Mona is probably not going to stay in Radley forever. Otherwise, why would the actress be on set wearing normal clothes? This is really hardly a “spoiler” at all, though, given that Parrish said months ago that at some point, Mona was going to get another chance at having a normal life (or at least what can be described as normal in a town like this).
