Supergirl season 5 episode 4 spoilers: Details on ‘In Plain Sight’
So how could this apply to the story to come? We suggest checking out the Supergirl season 5 episode 4 synopsis to get a little bit of a clearer picture:
SAYING GOODBYE IS HARD TO DO – Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) investigation into William Dey’s (Staz Nair) “criminal” activities results in the shocking revelation he is not who she thinks. Meanwhile, the conflict between Malefic and J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood) reaches a boiling point. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Jay Faerber & Jess Kardos (#504). Original airdate 10/27/2019.
What we’re getting a good sense of through some of these details is that we’re going to have a good chance to see and understand more of Kara as a reporter — this all sounds like she’ll be using some of those skills. As for Malefic and J’onn, what we wonder right now is if we’re looking at a case here of two characters who aren’t quite sure of how to understand each other. Do they want to understand each other? We have to imagine that this is a part of their problem.
What does feel somewhat clear early on in season 5 is this: The show is going to present some powerful, grounded stories and make sure that all conflicts are character-based. We’re sure that there will still be some good action sequences and moments for Kara to be Supergirl, but they’ll be mixed into a number of other plots here and there.
