Where is Scott Caan, Danny on Hawaii Five-0 season 10?
For some longtime fans of the series, you may remember this happening in the past — and the explanation for it now is the same as it’s always been. While Caan is a regular on Hawaii Five-0, he’s not going to appear in every episode. Instead, he spends some time throughout the season with his family on the mainland and goes back and forth. It’s a part of his own routine, and it’s a system that does ensure that he sticks around on the show.
Do we understand why people would want to see him on Five-0 constantly? Sure, and that’s why some of these questions are compliments. It’s fundamentally a sign that people enjoy his acting and watching him on the show! Yet, family always comes first, and with this being an exhausting show, we understand his interest in doing this while also balancing out his personal life.

The important thing to note and remind you of here is this: There is no evidence that Scott Caan is going to be leaving Hawaii Five-0, now or in the future. If something changes, we’ll let you know then … but for now, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s all par for the course and there will be some signature Steve/Danny banter soon enough.
If you love Danny, remember this — he’s going to have a huge role to play in the upcoming episode written and directed by Alex O’Loughlin. It’s one that was filmed in Los Angeles before the show even took off to Hawaii, and that probably means that it will look and feel different than almost any other out there.
