American Horror Story: 1984 episode 5 promo: Who wants revenge?

American Horror Story: 1984 episode 5 is airing on FX this Wednesday, and judging from the promo below alone, we’ve got every reason to think that there is a weird, chaotic batch of episodes coming up.

It all begins for now, though, in “Red Dawn,” a story that could feature some of the most violent showdowns that we’ve seen to date. Now that there is desperation in the air, some characters may not feel the need to mask some of their true intentions anymore. Take, for example, someone like Montana. She’s done what she could to try and get someone else to do her killing for her, but now that Brooke is (somehow) still alive, she may be at a point now where she has to take the murder into her own hands. Meanwhile, Mr. Jingles may be out to get a certain degree of revenge over Margaret now that he knows the truth, and you also gotta think that Xavier is going to be pretty upset over almost being burned to a crisp.

The largest question that we, perhaps, are wondering entering the upcoming episode is simply this: How much longer can you stretch this now? We’re still in the same evening that we’ve been in this whole season and yet, there are still many episodes to go. You don’t want to just draw things out with some of these stories to the point of them being boring, and we think that this does have to be some sort of a concern if you are looking towards the rest of the season.

Yet, at the same time we can say with confidence now that 1984 has been an awesome season of the franchise, and certainly one of the best that we’ve had a chance to see in some time. You’ve got a memorable villain for sure in Mr. Jingles, let alone some other great characters and a narrative that is packing in twists at every turn.
