American Horror Story: 1984 episode 5 carries the title of “Red Dawn” … and rest assured that it’s going to be crazy. Yet, just how crazy is it going to be? Based on what transpired tonight, let’s just say that this whole season is going to flip.
Let’s just put it this way, and remember some of what happened tonight — Margaret revealed herself to be a true adversary, but no one else alive is truly aware of it. Below, CarterMatt offers up the official American Horror Story: 1984 episode 5 synopsis with some other news as to what’s coming up next:
As twilight broaches, the survivors brace for a final brawl.
Here is the crazy thing about this — the use of the word “final.” How can this be the final anything when we are only a handful of episodes into the story? Well, the simplest reasoning for that is that there could be another signature American Horror Story twist coming up sooner rather than later. This is something that past seasons have done to keep things creative and dramatic … and we don’t quite think that the rest of the season is going to be set exclusively at night. At some point, something is going to happen in order to cause everything to turn on a dime.
Is it possible that there is a flash-forward of sorts after this episode? We do think that this is possible, but if there is one, how long could it be? We wouldn’t be shocked if there was another year of camp that falls victim to a little bit of chaos. No matter what, it’s clear that there is some bloodshed and pain coming on the show … and we’re going to have our jaws on the ground by the end of it.
