Chicago Fire season 8 episode 4 crossover spoilers: ‘Infection: Part 1’

Chicago Fire crossover

Next week, Chicago Fire season 8 episode 4 is going to arrive, and with it, the big crossover event! This is a tradition that many people know a lot of anticipation for, and based on what we’ve seen in the official trailer already, things re going to be intense. It begins with some characters enjoying some time together while tailgating a Chicago Bears game, but soon after this, they learn about an infection and some deadly bacteria. This is going to kickstart a series of events where they have to work in order to save lives, and then also find out how things started.

The first thing worth noting here is that Chicago Fire season 8 episode 4 airs at a special time in 8:00 p.m. Eastern time– it’s kicking off the crossover, and you can see some more details below:

10/16/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : In the first part of a three-show crossover event, a rare but deadly bacteria takes its toll on numerous victims around the city, leaving Chicago’s finest first responders to work together alongside the CDC to resolve the dangerous situation. This is an episode that will be a foundation for everything else that happens in the crossover and while there are going to be a lot of stories that bleed over into the other shows, there will be a few things that are specific to the Chicago crew as well. It is that balancing act that helps to make this show as strong as it is in the first place, and it ensures that you keep watching on a weekly basis as opposed to just here and there. These little nuances make the general growth of the story matter.

Could this be an outstanding crossover? In a lot of ways, the jury is still out … but we know it’s poised to be the most ambitious one that the series has ever done.
