Arrow season 8 episode 2 preview: ‘Welcome to Hong Kong’

Arrow

Next week on Arrow season 8 episode 2, we’re getting a chance to dive into “Welcome to Hong Kong.” Not only that, but we’re getting the return of a character who we haven’t seen on the show in a very long time — Tatsu! She was an important player back in season 3 but now, she’ll be back again for a very important mission. It’s something that is tied to the major mission at the hand of The Monitor, which is essential and tied to the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths. There are a lot of things to be excited about with the crossover, but let’s not forget along the way this — Arrow is still Arrow. It’s not going to completely change its stripes when it comes to the show that it is.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Arrow season 8 episode 2 synopsis with some other information as to what’s coming up next:

THE RETURN OF TATSU – Oliver (Stephen Amell), John (David Ramsey), Laurel (Katie Cassidy Rogers), and Tatsu (guest star Rila Fukushima) seek out an important person within The Monitor’s (guest star LaMonica Garrett) plan. Connor (Joseph David Jones) has a heart to heart with his brother (guest star Charlie Barnett). Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Jill Blankenship & Sarah Tarkoff (#802). Original airdate 10/22/2019.

There’s a lot of stuff to prepare for here, and it also seems to be moving through a number of different timelines. What happens in the future may, at least thematically, may tie to the past.

In general, we would say that this show is probably going to take a more secretive approach than what we’re used to seeing from most of the rest of the Arrowverse. With the series finale looming so soon, it makes sense for them to be that way.
