Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 4 spoilers: Joey Lawrence returns

Moving into Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 4 a little bit later this month, we know that McGarrett and company are desperate. How much so? A lot of it has to do with them being willing to work with Aaron Wright again.

After everything that Joey Lawrence’s character has put the team through over the years, we have a hard time thinking that they would be that interested in working with him. Yet, they also know that he possesses a skill set that they can sometimes use: Hacking. The case in question begins with a kidnapping, but soon after that, it proves to be so much more complicated than they ever thought it would be on the surface. As a matter of fact, there are a few twists that make it complicated beyond measure.

“Ukuli‘i ka pua, onaona i ka mau‘u” – Five-0 enlists imprisoned hacker Aaron Wright (Joey Lawrence) to help when a young girl is reported kidnapped, but upon rescue, the culprits are dead, the girl is safe, and she’s not who she claims to be, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“Ukuli‘i ka pua, onaona i ka mau‘u” is Hawaiian for “Tiny is the flower, yet it scents the grasses around it.”)

What in the world is going on here? We feel like it’s possible that the Five-0 team is dealing with a staged kidnapping that was planned from the start to be a murder of the captors. Or, it’s possible that this was a kidnapping but there are some further wrinkles to it — maybe there is a reason why her true identity was kept secret.

No matter any of the individual twists and turns at the heart of this case, one thing feels clear — we’re going to be in for a thrilling episode, and one that may take an unusual skill set in order for the day to be saved. Of course, whether or not Aaron is interested in helping the team without some help for himself is to be determined. There is probably going to be some sort of cost for his services.
