ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5: Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas have fun on set

Who’s ready for a little bit of silliness straight from the set of “Castle’s” fifth season? The cast is hard at work working on some pretty entertaining scenes coming up later this season, but now we have some more proof that even when they are not in character, this group seems to have more fun than just about any other on TV.

In the video below, you can see Nathan Fillion start things off by saying that he is just mere seconds away from catching his co-star Jon Huertas (Esposito) show up late for work. If this happens, it would mark the first time in his entirety working on the show that this would happen. However, it didn’t end up going that way … mostly because he ended up instead coming down from the sky and falling on Fillion’s face. This was a lovely little stunt set up by the crew, who Fillion thanked profusely after posting this video on Twitter; on this note, is there any actor who recognizes his crew more than this guy?

While “Castle” is now filming episodes for around the middle of their season, you can see the show return on Monday night with an episode that is very much centered around one even first and foremost: an arrest of Castle that is going to cause Beckett to raise all sorts of questions about whether or not this is the same man that she has loved for so many years. Is it? We like to think so, but Castle may still have some explaining to do in order to get himself out of this mess.
