Legacies season 2 episode 2 is a big episode arriving on The CW on October 17, and it could bring about big news when it comes to Hope’s future. We know entering the premiere that Danielle Rose Russell’s character was going to be separated from the rest of the group and yet, by the end of the first few episodes, we have a hard time imagining that we’re going to be seeing her separate from many of her friends. A part of what makes this show so great is watching all of them interact with each other! Separating Hope may be great for stirring things up and creating some change, but not all that much on the other side of it.

“This Year Will Be Different” is the title for this episode, and CarterMatt has the full Legacies season 2 episode 2 synopsis with more news on what’s coming:
ALEXIS DENISOF GUEST STARS AS THE NEW HEADMASTER – Determined to move forward with her new life alone, Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) latest hunt leads her on a collision course with the past she’s been desperately trying to leave behind. Meanwhile, on their first day back in school, Landon’s (Aria Shahghasemi) newfound status as the popular guy leads to tensions with Josie (Kaylee Bryant). Elsewhere, as MG (Quincy Fouse) contemplates telling Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) how he feels about her, the arrival of a mysterious vampire puts a wrench into his plan. Finally, as Alaric (Matthew Davis) gets settled into his new role at Mystic Falls High School, the students of the Salvatore School meet their new headmaster, Professor Vardemus (guest star Alexis Denisof). Jeff Hunt directed the episode written by Thomas Brandon (#202). Original airdate 10/17/2019.
It does seem as though Hope is back in the actual world within this episode, but it’s not the same version of the world that we’ve seen so far. It’s also going to be a different version of Hope, as well, as we’d be remiss to think that the version of the character we’re seeing now is anywhere near close to the version that we saw through much of season 1.
