NCIS season 17 episode 3 promo: Gnomes, Gibbs, & Sloane
For those wondering, we’re assuming that the gnomes are not some in-show ad for Travelocity like they are over on another CBS show in The Amazing Race. More than likely, they ared tied into the case in some shape or form. Hey, don’t the writers have to find some new ways to get creative? It’s season 17 and with that, you gotta go the extra mile here and there in order to get creative.
As much fun as some of the gnomes could be, we know that this is not exactly going to be the focal point for this episode. Instead, we’re looking more towards what is going on at the moment with Slibbs — a ‘ship that has been building slowly over the past year or so. Heck, from the moment that Maria Bello was cast on NCIS, there were rumors and discussions that the two were going to be an item. Now, Sloane is being encouraged to act on some of the feelings that she has … or at the very least, have some sort of conversation on the subject.

Through must of season 17, we could have an opportunity to see Gibbs and Sloane explore a little bit more of the feelings that they have … at least on a superficial level. There are some more issues that we imagine the two are going to be forced to deal with still, including one of Gibbs’ own rules — the one that prohibits dating a co-worker. Sure, we know that Gibbs burned another rule recently … but it’s hard to look at any two rules the same and assume that he’s going to eradicate one just because he did something a little bit similar with another.
