‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Is Nina Dobrev’s Elena enjoying [spoiler] too much?

Thanks to the revelation from Stefan on “The Vampire Diaries” last night that he cannot fully help Elena through her transition because of his own limitations, it now looks like his own brother Damon is going to instead take her under his wing.

With that in mind, the gloves are going to finally come off here, and the training wheels will be sent to the curb with the trash. Nina Dobrev’s baby vampire is going to be in for quite a time next week in “The Five,” as she is taken by her new companion to a place where she can suck a good many people dry and no one will ever notice: at a frat party. (Hey, it’s the vampire version of doing a kegstand.) All seems to be well and good, but within a matter of seconds in this brief promo, a problem becomes apparent: Elena may actually be enjoying this feast a little bit too much.

The problem with being a vampire is that at the end of the day, it is a pretty risky thing; and if Elena goes completely off the rails with it, she could become somebody who is a liability not just to herself, but to everyone close to her. Could this encourage Jeremy to dive into becoming even more of a vampire hunter? It’s certainly possible, just as we would not be particularly stunned to see some of the other non-vampire characters have an adverse effect to what is going on here with the newest edition o the vampire family. By comparison, Caroline’s transition may as well have been smooth as butter.
