‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: Jax gets suspicious in ‘Ablation’ promo

In some ways, we love how the title of each “Sons of Anarchy” episode is some sort of mystery in itself; and with that, we press forward when it comes to the eighth episode of season 5 entitled “Ablation.” We honestly were not that familiar with the word, so we looked it up and found what we think is the accurate definition in the context of this show: the wearing away of an expendable part. Perhaps you could look at this in a mechanical sense given how motorcycles are such a key part of the show; or, you could look at it as the dissolution of some once-powerful alliances either within SAMCRO or from the outside.

One thing we do know for sure? That Jax is starting to get suspicious of Damon Pope possibly using his own people against him, and with that in mind we have a rather interesting confrontation between the two coming up. Jax is not going to be the only person on a manhunt, though, as both Clay and Roosevelt are also going to be doing their part in an effort to try and sniff out some people who are causing some serious problems and even death.

Hopefully, this episode will get us closer to a takedown that just about everyone wants to see coming, regardless of whether or not it is Clay (who is behind the home invasions) or Pope. We just cannot see both of them being up to their old tricks again longer than this season; then again, though, we did not necessarily think that we would be seeing Clay stay alive longer than the first episode or two this year.
