‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: What’s up with Nick?

While we have enjoyed much of “How I Met Your Mother” so far this season, there has been one pretty glaring question: what in the world is going on with Nick? Michael Trucco’s casting came with some history on the show as well as some fanfare, but we really have not had that many opportunities to see who his character actually is, what he does for a living, or really even how Robin reconnected with him after he was previously “the one who got away.”

So is all of that going to change soon? That much is in part still a mystery, but we do at least now have the first photo worth sharing from Monday’s night’s new episode “The Autumn of Break-Ups” that seems to show a rather unusual combination of a farmer’s market, a group that looks like the Supremes, and Nick taking off on a motorcycle.

The one sad bit of irony when it comes to this character is that just as soon as we get to know him, we could end up seeing him head out the door. We know that Trucco is not going to be lasting beyond the next few episodes, and as a matter of fact, it’s certainly possible that Monday’s episode could really be his swan song considering the title … and the only other couple that really seems to be a candidate for a split is Ted and Victoria (but we really think that this pairing would be better off lasting longer than the others).
