The Bachelor 2020: ABC releases (possible) Peter Weber contenders early

Is Peter Weber going to be the next star of The Bachelor? That’s been the subject of great buzz over the past couple of weeks. What is so interesting about it at the moment is that it doesn’t feel as though there is much competition out there elsewhere for the role anymore. More than likely, you’ve heard about Tyler Cameron getting into a relationship with Gigi Hadid. Meanwhile, there have also been rumors as of late revolving around Mike Johnson and Demi Lovato.

With that in mind, all eyes are on Peter … especially after there have been paparazzi shots out there of him seemingly filming his intro package for the upcoming season.

With all of this news out there, why not have a conversation on one other piece of info, as well? This week, ABC unveiled in a Facebook post all of the different contestants who could be a part of the upcoming season. There are 33 contestants who are shown off there as a whole, but not all of them will end up making the cast. Odds are, there will be thirty of them who end up making the cut and a few will be cut at the very last minute.

So why is the network getting into a habit of releasing some of these names early? One of the reasons for this has a thing or two to do with them wanting to beat other people to the punch … which they aren’t always entirely successful with. We do think think that it bothers production that other people get a little bit more information about these contestants before it is officially released.

Also, we think that this is production almost crowdsourcing some of their vetting process to fans of the show. They may recognize that it’s impossible for their team to dig up every little thing under the sun and with that in mind, this is a chance for them to be able to release a few bits and pieces of info themselves.
