The Conners season 2 spoilers: Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman reunite
According to a report from TVLine, the legendary Dan Aykroyd — who worked with John Goodman on Blue Brothers 2000 — is going to be appearing on the ABC comedy later this year. So who is he going to be playing? Think along the lines of a poker buddy of Dan’s — that makes sense, mostly because you ultimately want to do whatever you can in order to ensure that you get these two guys working together.
As of right now, the plan here is for Aykroyd to work alongside Goodman on the third episode of the season, and we have to believe that if this goes well, there is a reasonably good chance that we will see the two of them work together a little bit more moving forward. Why wouldn’t a show like The Conners want to bring Dan back at every opportunity that they can?
We already know that there are some other cool castings in the works on this upcoming season, with one of the better ones being getting a chance to see former Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal go back into her sitcom roots as Louise — a character she played back on the first season of the series. Based on everything that we’re hearing at the moment, it looks as though we’re going to be seeing a good bit of her moving forward.
New episodes of The Conners are going to be coming up on the air in just over one week’s time, and we have a feeling that there’s all sorts of cool stuff ahead. This is a show that is based mostly on making you laugh, but at the same time also make you relate to some of their struggles — think in terms of a wide array of highs and lows. This is a show that wants to make you feel just about every little thing under the sun that it can in a half hour. Let’s just hope that it lives up to some of the expectations that we’ve got for it now.
