As we prepare in advance for The Resident season 3 episode 2, there is one thing that you should know: There will be some happy moments! The reason why we point this out now is because we know, full well, that there is sad stuff around the corner in the premiere. After all, just remember this — we’re going to be seeing a loved one of Nic’s die in the premiere, let alone some other crises for some other characters as a new conglomerate takes over Chastain.
Now, it is possible that there will be some sort of time jump following the cliffhanger? Sure, but we’ll see what happens as we get into the new season. What we can tell you in advance of the October 1 episode is that at that point, Nic will be doing something to try and make Conrad smile.
Below, CarterMatt has the full The Resident season 3 episode 2 synopsis with more news as to what’s coming up:
Cain tries to recruit Bell and Kit to join him on a dangerous surgery, with the intent of garnering publicity for the hospital. Meanwhile, the Raptor finds himself with an emotional attachment to a patient whose life is put in his hands and Mina’s friend, Adaku (guest star Erinn Westbrook), arrives at the hospital with shocking news. Also, Devon rotates out of the ER and Nic plans a surprise for Conrad in the all-new “Flesh of My Flesh” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Tuesday, Oct. 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-302) (TV-14 L, V)
So while there are some potentially-romantic moments between Conrad and Nic in this episode of The Resident, this also could prove to be a chance to see more of what Morris Chestnut has to offer as Dr. Barrett Cain. We don’t know a ton about this character just yet … save, of course, for the fact that he’s out for the glory just as much as helping people. He’s ready and willing to do whatever he can in order to ensure that his career is on the rise.
