Grey’s Anatomy season 16 spoilers: Is Owen and Teddy’s future set?
Following the season 15 finale, it did appear that we were moving in this direction. The photo above confirms that we’re all the way there. For the first time really ever, these two characters are going to do what they can in order to make a romantic relationship work. There is a lot of stuff that this entails, whether you are talking about their history, Owen’s issues, or the fact that Teddy was just in a relationship with Tom Koracick. As a matter of fact, Tom was working on setting up a crib for the baby!

The Tom part of the story may be one of Teddy’s most difficult challenges, mostly because you know he’s going to be hurt by it. While Tom gallivants himself around as this man with an enormous ego, at the same time he’s also someone who’s lost a family of his own before. On some level, he may have viewed this as his second chance and an opportunity to get back some of what he lost before. Now, that chance is fading away and he has to figure out what’s next for him. Even if it’s not with Teddy, we do want him to find love somewhere else.
Aside from Owen and Teddy needing to work through some of their own issues, let’s not forget about the fact that they also have a baby to care for! This is without even talking about Leo, who Owen already welcomed into his world. This is suddenly a very different life for Kevin McKidd’s character than anything that he had on the series previously.
