Kate Hudson has been an interesting sort of adversary for Lea Michele’s character of Rachel Berry on “Glee” this season, but as just about everyone knows, she is not the sort of guest star that is also going to stick around forever. (Plus, we also have to believe that she doesn’t enjoy all of the tabloid rumors about her and Lea getting along.)
So with that in mind, should you really be surprised at all by some of the news breaking now? Probably not, but here it is, anyway. According to a brand-new report coming in from E! News, we are going to be meeting a new rival for Rachel at some point moving forward this season. Her name is Anna-Marie, and she is going to be one of the few people out there who is gifted in both song and dance. Translation? Rachel is really going to have her work cut out for her. It’s not clear just yet when this character will be making her first appearance at NYADA, but we have to think that it will be sometime either at the end of the fall season or early next year, that way producers have plenty of time to establish her character so that they can build to some sort of conclusion.
Anna-Marie is not the only new “villain” sort of character coming on board the show, as we are also going to be meeting a new head Warbler whose primary goal is one thing and one thing only: bring Blaine back to Dalton Academy for performance (but not romantic) reasons. We don’t know if this character is really going to be that evil, but Rachel’s new rival surely will have the sort of competitive tendencies that make your skin crawl.
What do you think about this character based on the small amount we know?
