Are You the One? season 8 finale: Did everyone find perfect matches?

Tonight, the Are You the One? finale had an opportunity to change the lives of all of its contestants — did they get all of the beams? Did they have the opportunity to walk away with $750,000?

While there were a lot of perfect matches confirmed at the end of last week’s episode, there were also a number of other mysteries. Take, for example, if Keri and Max were made for each other. There were five beams confirmed going into this episode and, soon after that, they got their sixth! Kari and Max were confirmed, and then it came down to whether or not they could get their seventh. It all came down to just two couples and whether or not they did the right thing.

Much of the pressure was on Amber. She made the decision to trust her heart and go with Remy as her perfect match, rather than the feelings of lust that she had towards Justin. This was her best chance to be able to get to where she wanted to get.

As it turns out … they got it! All the beams went off and the entire group managed to come out of this richer. This is wonderful — and also unexpected when you consider the degree of difficulty entering the season. Just think about how hard it can be in order to find the right person on a show with so many options. The best part of this was seeing everyone be so excited when they got all the beams, let alone even Terrence J the host! He was a part of the celebration as much as everyone else.

Given that this was a show that was all about celebrating being different, representation, and ultimately love, this was a perfect ending. This is a way to make you smile big and bright at the end of it. Now, we just have to hope that on the other side of it that some of these people actually get a chance to have real relationships. (At the very least, we would’ve liked some updates on people at the end of this!)
