Outlander season 5: Breaking down latest Roger – Bree photo!
How much? Here’s your reminder that many cast members are going to be at New York Comic-Con next month. The two exceptions are Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, who are going to be back in Scotland working on the show. We explained that a little bit further over here; our expectation is that while at the convention, attendees will get a chance to see some sort of official season 5 trailer. Maybe they’ll get the full premiere, but it’ll still be more than four months from premiering! We’re not sure that we’ve ever heard of a show that released a full episode so far from the premiere.
For the sake of this premiere, what we’re primarily going to be focusing on is the new image yesterday released by Starz, one that does put Skelton and Rankin at the center as Brianna and Roger — with Jemmy thrown in there as well! It’s a slightly-older version of Jemmy than what we’ve seen to date, which makes sense given that Outlander is going to continue to move forward in time at the same steady pace that it has over the past few years. These two are going to figure out how to be parents, while also pursuing some of their own pursuits and tackling responsibilities at Fraser’s Ridge.
Judging from the fact that Brianna is carrying with her a basket, odds are that she is doing some sort of work around Fraser’s Ridge, whether it be laundry or the gathering of various food. Meanwhile, Roger is sitting down with a guitar (his passion for music has not gone away) while Jemmy plays in the foreground. Could we get some Roger Mac songs in the new season? We hope so — we’re rather fascinated to see what a 20th-century man would choose to perform back in the 18th century.
