NCIS season 17: See Maria Bello’s new behind-the-scenes tease

Want to know what lies ahead on NCIS season 17 for Jack Sloane? Then join the club! We know we’ve got an eagerness to explore that over the coming weeks, especially when you think about some of what she said near the end of the season about not being able to express her feelings that she has for someone (is it Gibbs?). So the struggle for her becomes just trying to find a way to get find the right way and the right time to express how she’s feeling and hopefully that time will come in season 17 – or at least we will take another step towards it. We’re excited to see a lot of that journey play out.

Yet, there hasn’t been a lot in the way of behind-the-scenes footage out there for Maria Bello on the show. We’ve seen a lot of Wilmer Valderrama, Emily Wickersham, and even Cote de Pablo, but she’s been a little bit more under the radar. That changes a little bit today, thanks to a new image that we have for you below (from Maria’s Instagram) featuring the actress alongside Sean Murray, Wilmer, and Emily.

So what are we expecting from Sloane in the early going? We have a character here who has endured so much, and while some of that pain can lead to some difficult challenges on the job, it also turns her into a tremendous asset for the NCIS team. She is someone who can prove useful in a lot of different missions thanks to her knowledge base, in addition to just being a friend and a shoulder for a lot of the different agents.

As for Sloane and Gibbs, it feels like there’s potentially something there … but we don’t expect to see it manifest itself in a hurry. This is a show that has a lot of priorities at the moment! Think about what’s going on with Ziva’s return, and then also the possible continuance of the drug-trade storyline that transpired in “Daughters” at the end of season 15. There is a lot of worthy material to dive into as the show goes along and we’re curious to see some of that unfold.
