Blue Bloods season 10 premiere promo: The ‘legend’ of the Reagans

CBS has just unveiled the first Blue Bloods season 10 premiere promo, and we’d say that there is one key takeaway here: The Reagans are back! Not only that, but the network wants you to know that they have reached legendary status.

One of the main emphasis points of this new promo is CBS really working into overdrive to convince you that you are now watching the “legends” of the NYPD at work. You see Danny carrying a woman away from an exploding car, Jamie carrying his new wife Eddie over the threshold (is this their new apartment?), and also Erin reminding Frank where she gets some of her toughness from? It’s true that there isn’t too much in the way of big spoilers in this promo for what lies ahead, but we don’t know why you would assume there would be — Blue Bloods is not a show that has a tendency to give a whole lot of details away and with that in mind, we imagine that they’ll be light on the spoilers from now until the premiere.

Regardless, we know a thing or two about how the season is going to begin anyway. For example, we’re going to see Danny and Baez get some help from Maggie the psychic on a new case, while Frank gets a visit from his old friend Lenny Ross. When something happens with Lenny’s daughter, is Frank going to do anything to help? That will be a central component to this story and something that is worth watching out for.

Don’t forget that the premiere of Blue Bloods just so happens to also be the 200th episode of the show — this is a chance for the CBS series to be bigger, bolder, and more dramatic than anything that we have seen so far. There is a lot to love about this and we’re more than excited to see how the writers raise the stakes to make this installment feel special.
