Shameless season 10 spoilers: Debbie’s new strategy

Who is going to be at the center of some of these responsibilities? Think in terms of none other than Debbie Gallagher. In the video over at the link here from the network, you can get a better sense of some of what she wants to do with the family in the new season. To be specific, her plan is to give the Gallaghers almost some sort of allowance — an ATM card with a certain amount of cash on it. They have the ability to either maintain the balance or suffer without any. It’s a ruthless way to go about dividing funds, but within this world, what other sort of strategy is Debbie going to have? When she realizes that nothing else is working, these are desperate times and because of that, it calls for somewhat-desperate measures. This is a time where we’re going to see some of that play out.
With Debbie taking on more of a material role around the house, it remains to be seen how everyone else is going to adapt. With Frank, for example, he’s probably still going to be doing whatever he can in order to milk some of what happened to him at the end of this past season. After all, that is kind of his style. Meanwhile, you’re going to see Carl figure out whether he can sink or swim in his military training and Lip will prepare for fatherhood.
