NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 promo analysis: The Mac – Harm reunion
Thanks to a new promo (which you can watch over at ET Online), you can see the mission at the center of “Let Fate Decide.” The story picks up almost immediately after the events of the most-recent finale, where terrorist sympathizers are plotting to inflict some unspeakable harm on the country. They’re going to do everything that they can in order to cause some carnage, and it’s going to be up to the folks at NCIS and elsewhere to stop things from getting out of hand. This is where the skill set of Mac and Harm from JAG will end up playing a role. David James Elliott and Catherine Bell are going to be back for at least one more appearance each, and through that episode we’ll see how things go for the two of them, both professionally and then also personally.

If you watched JAG, we know that you were probably rooting for these two characters to end up getting together … and were therefore quite disappointed when they weren’t together at the end of last season. Our hope now moving into season 11 is that you’ll get a chance to see that very thing transpire! Mac and Harm are spending some time in the same scene together, which is something that they haven’t had a chance to do just yet since coming back. It’s possible that this could lead to the two of them going in a different direction … one that leads to them being together in the end.
We have to think that the entire NCIS: Los Angeles writing staff, led by showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, was going to be aware of what fans wanted out of this story. With that in mind, we have to imagine that this is what we’re building to in time. Will something happen in this episode? That’s where we’ll cross our fingers and hope for the best.
