Hawaii Five-0 season 10: See Katrina Law’s first post after casting news
What was the message? As you can see below via Twitter, it’s pretty simple: “Team #McDanno.” A pretty easy way to get viewers on your side already, no? The McDanno following is as large as almost any out there for TV characters, and the terms even been made canon on the show itself. (Thank Kamekona for that back when Steve and Danny were looking into getting the restaurant off the ground.)
You can read more news about Law’s character over here; she is going to be a new series regular, and all signs point to her being a major forced to be reckoned with throughout the coming episodes. It’s been known for a while that Hawaii Five-0 was going to be adding a new character for season 10 — as a matter of fact, this was something first mentioned to us all the way back around the time of the season 9 finale by executive producer Peter M. Lenkov.

The question that you gotta wonder here is a simple one: How will Katrina’s character interact with some of the other familiar faces in the cast? Will she form some fast friendships or be a thorn in their side? One of the things that we have come to know about this series over the years is that it’s developed a habit of welcoming new characters with open arms. It finds a way to make them likable quickly without overusing them right out of the gate. It also makes it clear that it’s okay to miss former cast members and then also still cheer for new ones. That’s something that a lot of people dealt with following the departures of Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, and then also the arrivals of Meaghan Rath and Beulah Koale.
Hawaii Five-0 season 10 will premiere Fridays this fall over on CBS.
